Our 1-2-1 SUP sessions are fun and practical hands-on private lessons for anyone wanting an introduction or better their SUP use.
Our WSA certified instructors will get you out on the water understanding the correct standing position, paddle stroke, self-rescue and water skills needed to help ensure you enjoy the sport fully.
We will also help you to understand the importance of identifying dangers that do exist in the flat-water paddle environment so that you and those around you are kept safe.
Throughout our lessons we believe in a safety-first approach to instructing, and through all our procedures and teaching practices this is the primary focus for you, our instructors and other river users. We pride ourselves in ensuring the best possible environment to learn all there is about SUP.
What to bring
What should I bring for a session?
We always recommend quick drying clothes during the session or a wetsuit if the water is cooler.
We would recommend having a change of clothing and a towel in your car to keep you warm after your session.
Your feet are the only part of your body that will have constant contact with the water, but boards have good grip so bare feet or some water shoes will be fine.
Please bring bottled water and may be a snack for after your lesson
Sunglasses are advisable (ideally with safety retainers to hold in place when in the water), and on hot days you should have some sunscreen on, as you always burn faster on the water.
Other than that, just bring yourself and your enthusiasm. You’re going to have fun out there 😎
