  • Description

Please only enter one person per craft even if you are sharing craft/boards to ensure the access charge is correct.

Come and find your freedom on the idyllic Hamble River by launching your own craft from our slipway or pontoon. Whether it’s a leisurely trip along the historical river with friends or a peaceful solo paddle we have the perfect launch spot.

If you are visiting us with family or friends who need to hire a craft please go to the rentals page.

We are a tidal location and our programme is dependent on these, sunset and other activities taking place at the centre. We can offer between 2-5 hours of paddling time and the options available for your chosen date will reflect that tide window. Your access charge will cover the entirety of the tide window and is a one off access charge for that date. You are welcome to arrive anytime within that window and entry will close one hour before the end of the session.

On accessing the site please follow signs to the river where you will be able to park either at the Boathouse or on the field directly behind it.

The long range plan is always available on our website: https://ymca-fg.org/river-hamble-access/ and we post our operational times on our facebook page weekly.

Please check your reservation at the time of booking as mistakes cannot be refunded at a later date. If you are unable to attend your booked session you may request a credit note for a future session as long as we receive the notification before the start of the session.
