Description
- Stay active this winter and hit the water with our Winter Paddle sessions! Whether you’re looking to try something new or just want to enjoy time on the water, this great value, extended hire session gives you the flexibility to paddle at your own pace and try different crafts. Paddle anytime between 1 PM – 4 PM (Last entry is 3:30, everyone off the water by 4).
- Choose from Sit on Top – Kayaks, canoes, or stand-up paddleboards – swap as you like!
- Staff on hand for safety supervision & guidance (not instructor-led, this will run in the same format as our hire sesisons)
- Paddle on Dock 8 with plenty of space to explore (Exploring other docks may be allowed on the day, this must be with a staff member – Dependant on numbers/supervision)
- £8 for up to 3 hours of paddling
- Optional wetsuit hire: £4 (recommended for warmth)
- Ages 17+ (Exceptions/Extra Provisions will be made for February half term, however all juniors (over 8yrs) must be on the water with an adult and wearing a wetsuit)
Important Information- Supervision: A safety team member will be on hand, but only for emergencies. Where possible and safety allows, our team can be on hand to offer help with technique.
- Cold Water: Please be aware that the water temperature will be cold, we recommend that only confident water users access the water at this time. Whilst the aim will be to stay dry, there is always a possibility of falling in – in which case you will be wearing a buoyancy aid, so you will float, however the water will be extremely cold.
- Age Requirements: Under 17s must be accompanied at the centre by an adult. Children 11 and under must be on the water with an adult (1 adult to 2 children).

- Please note, the cancellation period for this session is 72hrs. No refunds will be processed after that point.
Requirements
- Ages 17+ (Exceptions/Extra Provisions will be made for February half term, however all juniors (over 8yrs) must be on the water with an adult and wearing a wetsuit)
- ALL Participants must be able to swim 50m and be water confident.
- ALL Participants must be, to the best of their knowledge, fit and able to take part in adventurous physical activity in / on cold water.
What to bring
Clothing:
- ALL Participants must wear shoes - Footwear must be water-appropriate, closed-toe, with solid soles (no flip-flops or sliders). Helmets are provided and required for those under 17.
- Wetsuits are optional but recommended (available for hire at £4 online or £5 on-site). Please wear swimwear underneath.
- If opting out of a wetsuit, ensure your attire is suitable for keeping warm but possibly getting wet—think tracksuit bottoms, gym leggings, active wear, jumper.
- Nothing too heavy or restrictive
- Waterproof clothing would be ideal.
