    Join Us for a Special One-Off Sunday Evening Swim!

    Whether you're looking to try something new, swim for leisure, or boost your fitness, our Open Evening is the perfect opportunity to give open water swimming a go or a chance to try out a new venue!

    1. Experience: The setup will be the same as our regular sessions, with both the 300m and 500m loops open.
    2. Special Offer: All sessions are half price!
    3. Prizes: Every participant will be entered into a draw to win a prize.
    4. Snacks: Enjoy complimentary snacks after your swim!


    Booking Info:

    1. If booking for multiple people, you will need their email addresses to invite them to fill in their details after you book.
    2. All participants must sign a disclaimer and fill in a question pack each time they book. Last entry will be 19:30pm and all swimmers will need to be out of the water by 20:00pm

    1. Strictly 72 hours. Request cancellations via Eola and email the centre at watersportscentre@scll.co.uk.



    Requirements

    Pre-Requisites:

    1. Swimming Ability: You must be able to swim 300m of any stroke unaided. We maintain a relaxed swim environment, but confidence in swimming is necessary due to the water’s depth and temperature.




    Physical Fitness / Health:

    1. To the best of your knowledge, you must be physically fit to participate in Open Water Swimming in Cold Water.
    2. If you have a medical condition, especially a heart condition - please consult your GP for advice beforehand.
    3. You should only swim when you are feeling well.


    1. Minimum Age: 12. Swimmers aged 12-16 must swim with a competent adult (1 adult per 2 children in close proximity). Exceptions can be made for children with a coach's signed letter indicating suitability for open water training, with an adult on-site.



    What to bring
    1. Swim Hat – Everyone needs to wear a brightly coloured swim hat – no black / dark
    2. Choice of swim attire, swimming clothes or wetsuit.(see below for wetsuit info)
    3. Goggles, Nose Clip, Ear Plugs if you need them
    4. Towel / Bag for wet kit
    5. Shoes to walk to and from the centre, we also recommend wearing wetsocks/boots to protect your feet on the slipway/pontoons

    Wetsuits & Wetsuit Hire

    Wetsuits are optional but we do recommend them.

    Due to limited stock of our swim wetsuits, for the open evening we will be hiring out our watersports neoprene wetsuits for a reduced cost of £3 - please book at the time of booking using the ADD ON function.

    On normal swim sessions, we have a limited range of swim wetsuits that can be hired for £8.
