This is a weekend trip from 7th - 9th June and includes riverside accommodation: £250 pp
We will meet at the Wayford Bridge Inn on Friday afternoon/evening where will have a welcome get together. We will be setting off Saturday morning launching from Wayford Bridge, paddling down stream on the River Ant, towards Barton broad passing a gorgeous traditional wind pump (Hunsett Mill, the famous mill house featured on Grand Designs). On Sunday morning we will be driving to Wroxham Broad (6.7 mile drive) to paddle past the Norfolk broads yacht club, famous for their regattas and traditional broad sailing vessels. Includes spectacular river side accommodation for two nights at the idyllic Wayford Bridge Inn. This location really couldn't get any better! Our SUP Retreats are designed as an opportunity to retreat from the hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature. With small group sizes and an emphasis on having fun outdoors, these retreats are an opportunity for you to meet new people and explore new parts of the UK.

Requirements
This paddle is open to all but we do ask that you are...
- Fit for 6 - 8 miles paddles
- A competent paddle boarder
- Can fall off and get back on unaided
- Have some experience paddling on rivers and open water
- Can get from kneeling to standing confidently
- A confident swimmer
- 18+
- Ideally have experience on a touring board
- Can launch safely
- This trip is open to the public and is not a Paddle Up Club event, but club members are still very welcome to book
- SUP Retreats are open to all genders

What to bring
Provide your own kit: Paddle board, paddle, buoyancy aid, waist leashes, phone case, drybag with change of clothes, and wear weather appropriate clothing for SUP. If you are using your own board, you must have a valid British Canoeing membership. If you don't have one, you can purchase it here.
Equipment hire: Kit hire is available as add on. Please select this in the booking process. (£25 for the weekend) please message if unsure.
We will send out a detailed kit list nearer the time, but remember to have the following; bottle of water, sun cream, hat, waterproofs, snacks & any medication eg inhaler.
Itinerary
Friday 7th June
- Check in at the Wayford Bridge Inn on Friday from 15:00
- Evening welcome & briefing
- A chance to get to know one another over some food and drink at the Wayford Inn bar and restaurant (where we are staying)
Saturday 8th June
- Breakfast
- Be ready to launch 09:00
- Paddle from Wayford bridge to Barton broad
- Roughly 3 miles each way
- Opportunity to continue the paddle further towards Irstead Staithe or Neatishead Staithe, depending on time and the groups energy levels
- Lots of breaks and a lunch stop (please bring packed lunch)
- Evening meal at pub
- Potentially some optional evening activities (TBD)
Sunday 9th June
- Breakfast & check out
- Meet at Wroxham Broad car park and be ready to launch for 10:00
- Paddle from Wroxham to Salhouse
- A paddle around the perimeter of Wroxhem broad. This will take us past the Norfolk broads yacht club, famous for their regattas and traditional broad sailing vessels
- We will exit from the north which will take us onto the River Bure. Paddle down the river paddling along this treeline meandering river making our way to our picnic destination
- Lots of breaks and a lunch stop (please bring packed lunch)
- Just under 3 miles each way
- Time to pack up & say our goodbyes 15:00
