  • Description

    Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Advanced - Water course is for existing Rescue 3 Swiftwater Rescue Technicians looking at advanced rescue situations both in and over water.

     

    Suitable for:


    Revalidating existing SRT qualifications

    Technicians who are working towards their SRT Instructor qualification will need to do the SRTA-Water as a prerequisite to their Instructor Training course.

    Anyone who wishes to increase their skill level from SRT level


    Course content includes:


    • Weir risk assessment and pre planning

    • Advanced swiftwater swimming techniques

    • True and conditional rescues

    • Night and poor visibility in water operations

    • Swiftwater and flood search management

    • Mechanical advantage systems

    • High energy tethers

    • Paddle boat handling

    1. Current Rescue 3 SRT
    2. 18yrs+ 
    What to bring

    Delegates should bring their own drysuit, BA etc if they have them. If not, CIWW can supply equipment - please let us know in advance by emailing rescue@ciww.com - you will also need your own £1 coin for the lockers!

    Itinerary

    COURSE DURATION IS 3 DAYS


    You will need to arrive at CIWW ready for a 09:00 start on the first day of the course - there will be a night exercise as part of this course - this will be discussed on day one of the course.
