Description
The Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Instructor (SRTI) pathway is designed for emergency services personnel, or professional rescue training organisations, teaching clients who need a swiftwater and flood response capability.
Prerequisites:
• Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician - SRT (4 days)
• Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Advanced - Water SRTA-W (3 days) or - Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Advanced - Water & Rope SRTA-W&R (5 days)
• First aid qualification, appropriate for the environment in which they will be working

- Health and safety legislation
- Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Instructor training (5 days)
- Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Instructor assessment (3 days)
Candidates are expected to further develop their personal skills and knowledge between their training and assessment courses, following an individual action plan outlined in the training course debrief. The SRTI Assessment will be 3 days.

CIWW Provides all other specialist equipment required to take part in this activity - e.g wetsuits, wetsuit boots, helmets and buoyancy aids. If you have your own White Water Specification equipment, you are welcome to bring along. If you chose to wear your own wetsuit/drysuit, it must by full length.
Itinerary
Training Course Duration is 5 days (followed by a 3 day Assessment to be booked separately on a different date - Next available date 12-14 November 2025 - £425.00)
Please arrange to meet at Cardiff International White Water ready for a 0900 start on day one of the course.
There will be a night exercise as part of this course - this will be discussed on day one of the course.
