  • Description

    This 2 day course covers the skills and knowledge needed to safely drive a powerboat. It focuses on:


    Launching and recovery

    Boat handling at slow speeds

    Introduction to driving at planning speed

    Collision regulations

    Securing to a buoy

    Anchoring

    Leaving and coming alongside

    Man overboard recovery


    Upon successful completion candidates will also be able to apply for the International Certificate of Competence


    Courses will be taught by an experienced RYA Powerboat Instructor .


    Participants must be a minimum age of 12. Under 16s will have their certificate endorsed

    2. Swimwear & thermals/thin fleece to wear underneath the drysuit that CIWW will provide.
    3. Passport Sized Photo

Great for beginner, intermediate and advanced paddlers . Next to Penarth and penarth look out, where you can see Cardiff bay, longholm, flatholm islands or Weston supper mare.
