Youth Group - KataKanuing

Established youth or uniformed groups can use this page to book a group KATAKANUING session. Minimum attendees is 12 people, please book for the number of places you would like 'on the water' including any adults.

There are 6 spaces per boat, each booking will have a minimum of two boats plus a qualified instructor who can go in a separate boat or with the group (it is up to you). If you are booking for young children (5-8 year olds) it is advisable to have one adult per boat to help provide power and steering.

1. Participants should be comfortable on and around the water, please let us know if you have any concerns surrounding this.
2. The participant should be able to partake in physical activity for this period of time, please check with your doctor or call us with any concerns.

Please ensure that participants have clothes appropriate to the weather and a change of clothes for after the session including:

1. Footwear - Covering shoes such as old trainers/wet boots - that you don’t mind getting wet (not flip-flops or wellington boots)
2. Lightweight trousers or shorts
3. T-shirt / Long sleeved garment
4. Lightweight sweatshirt
5. Windproof top and trousers
6. Hat, sunscreen
7. Drink
8. Towel and dry clothing
9. Any medication eg: Inhaler, EpiPen (ensure staff are informed of any medication that you drop your child off with).

This hour session will include kit up and pack away time but in the middle will have as much fun on the KataKanu's as possible, the session will be tailored to suit the group to include more games or a paddling journey to suit you.
