Requirements

To get the most out of this course you should already be paddling at beyond British Canoeing Paddle Explore Award.

What to bring

Scotland can experience four seasons in a day so we recommend dressing for the weather, as this is a training course being able to keep yourself in the learning zone is important, so dress warm and dry.

We will be in the water during the course so make sure you're prepared for safety and rescues work.

Itinerary

We will spend our time out on the sheltered water. This will be both slow moving and wind effected open water. This will enable us to deliver against all aspects of the award.

Regardless of the craft you are paddling we will be able to provide you with the necessary skills to paddle and lead from it.

Over the two days we will cover personal performance, leadership skills as well as critical safety and rescue skills against the level of the award.
