  • Description

    Canoeing is a great way to explore rivers and lochs, but it does have some downsides. It can be challenging to recover from mishaps caused by wind or currents.

    To help you overcome these challenges, we offer a two-day course.

    On the first day, we'll teach you how to use ropes, and pulleys, and swim safely. We'll also cover boat rescue and safety setups while exploring the river.

    On the second day, we'll focus on raft building and how to handle situations when you fall off your boat while sailing on the loch. Join us and become a confident and skilled canoeist.

    Requirements

    This course is aimed at those who are paddling solo, therefore some knowledge of solo paddling is key.

    What to bring

    We're out learning for two full days, you will need to bring;

    1. Personal paddling clothing,
    2. Lunch,
    3. PFD*
    4. Helmet*
    5. Boat*
    6. Paddles*
    7. Poles*
    8. Safety kit*

    * we can supply all of this gear on request.
