The ocean strength and confidence training session is led by Dom Moore, owner of Surf Sanctuary. It is packed with science-backed psychological and physical techniques, and underpinned with hard-won ocean experience.
The first hour covers the anatomy of a wipeout and how to prepare for and recover from each stage. We then progress onto establishing our own surfing values and how to attain them, before identifying our own triggers and extinguishing subsequent fears.
The second hour involves practical strength, conditioning and stress-inoculation drills that best prepare us for the demands of the surf environment.
The ocean strength and confidence course is a launch-pad for you to re-focus your land based training to become the best water athlete you can be.
