Description
The Wye weekend is a great social opportunity for paddling with friends on the fantastic River Wye.
Trips are run on both days and are about 14km, going with the flow, and is gently moving water. On one day the trip ends at Symonds Yet Rapids where the adventurous can play on the waves or beginners can run straight through.
Paddlers should be able to have good control of their boat and capable of maintaining a steady pace for the day.
Accommodation is on the Lucksall Caravan and camping park, and paddlers need to book their own accommodation. Be aware this park is very popular and will fill quickly. They do have some camping huts for those without tents or caravans, but again they are very popular.
For information on the park and prices contact https://www.lucksallpark.co.uk
Booking onto the weekend here does not guarantee a camping pitch.
There are other campsites and B&Bs in the area should Lucks’all fill up.
If you want to know if the trip is suitable for you please talk to any of the club coaches.
Non paddling partners and family members are welcome as it is a social weekend, and there are lots of interesting places around to visit. Hereford is the nearest town just 4 miles from the campsite.
