Ladies of the Lake

A free, fun, friendly social event exclusively for women over 18 who are club members, or club members partners, or family members.

Whether you're a seasoned paddler or have never stepped into a boat before, this is your chance to try something new in a relaxed, supportive environment. We'll have a variety of craft available other than explore, including canoes, kayaks, stand-up-paddleboards (SUPs), and rafts, with friendly coaches on hand and light-hearted games to keep things fun.

After the water-based adventures, we'll warm up with tea, coffee and cake, giving everyone a chance to chat, connect, and build friendships off the water too.

Women are still underrepresented in paddle sports, especially in leadership and competitive roles. Events like this are a small but important step toward building confidence, visibility, and community among women in the club. Whether you're here to paddle, play or just enjoy the company, your presence helps shape a more inclusive future for our sport.

So grab your towel, bring your sense of adventure, and come make some waves with us!

Must be a member of HPPCC, or a partner of an HPPCC member or a family member of an HPPCC member.

Please bring a change of clothes, towel and shower kit. Please dress appropriately for the weather.

There is no fixed itinerary for the afternoon, it is a chance to try different paddle craft, get on the water, or just chat to other women within the club.
