  • Description

These sessions allow paddlers to gain water confidence in capsizing, and can be used to start to learn to roll.

Paddlers will be working in pairs or threes, to support each other in the rescues and learning process. Coaches are available to teach rolling techniques. Paddlers who can already roll can use the sessions to practice their rolling and technique in the deep end of the pool without a coach present.

Sessions are booked individually, and the sessions are released a month at a time.

    Requirements

Please check in with the coach in charge of the session and be ticked off on arrival. Entrance to the pool is 5 minutes before the session starts, so please arrive changed.

    What to bring

Please wear swimwear, and ideally a t shirt or rash vest. Neoprene shorts are helpful to get a comfortable fit in the boat.

    Itinerary

The session is 90 minutes of which about 60 are spent in the water working with a partner.

Great club with friendly and knowledgable coaches. Inexpensive to go and join and you get free parking if you become a member. Plenty of equipment and varied lessons and sessions.

Kids loved it. Okay for a visit. Our teens did the splash and the high wire walk. Good enough for teens for a few hours. Not extortionate but not cheap either. Staff were okay, helpful when asked. Would recommend it for ...
