Sunday Skills - intro to gates: our Intro to Gates sessions are for anyone wanting to have a go and skiing or boarding through gates, and develope their skills, with no pressure to race.

Whether you are a top notch racer, a developing skier/boarder, young or old, book on, and come along and join in the session. Coaching is provided.

Please bring your own equipment where possible, and must bring your own helmet (essential), gloves, and waterproofs are preferred.

Minimum ability - you must be able to control speed and direction from the top of the slope, turn, stop, and use the lift unaided.

Please Note: The session prices now reflect the non member rates, once you join and then they automatically adjust to the club rates.

You can book up to an hour before the session, but if there are insufficient bookings up to 24 hours prior, the session may need to be cancelled for the club to not incur any last minute cancellation charges.

Membership

Memberships begin on the 1st Oct each year.

Full membership of the North Wales Snowsports Club is not a requirement to participate in these sessions, the standard rate includes the temporary membership, however becoming a full member does entitle you to significant reductions on all regular NWSC sessions, and the general use of the Llandudno slope outside of the clubs session times. Skiers must be able to control speed and direction from the top of the slope, turn, stop, and use the lift unaided.

Parents of any children under the age of 16 are expected to remain at the centre, within sight of the slope, in case they are required.

The supervising coach/es will reserve the right to ask participants to leave the slope should their ability not be up to the required standard, and / or potentially be at imminent risk of harming themselves or others.

You can bring your own ski or snowboard gear or you can use the hire equipment from the Llandudno, included in the price, should you prefer.

You must bring (your own) gloves, and wet weather gear is advised in case of rain.

Bare in mind that there are also sprinklers on the slope to consider.

Helmets are essential for this session.

You'll be working on lots of new skills and be going through slalom poles and markers.
