Description
Limited Spaces available for a small group for a structured race training half day camp, ahead of the Welsh Schools National Championships in October.
Session will include, skills & drills, and stubby and full gate training.
Out of gate starts, basic warm up & fitness skills, timed runs, head to heads, in an atmosphere of work, and fun!
No previous race experience necessary, if you can ski in control (stop, start, change direction) and use the lift unaided to the top of the slope, then you can attend.
Improve your skills, whilst making new friends!
Suitable for anyone born in 2018 and older.
Groups will be split according to age and ability, and can accommodate friendship groups.
Provisional Program:
1.30pm Arrival
2pm - Warm up, skills & drills
3pm - Gates & Stubby courses
4pm - Short break, before more varied course setting and skills development
6pm - Finish
The sessions will be led by Roger Hughes & Matthew Ingle, with support from other NWSC coaches & trainees.

Membership
Memberships begin on the 1st Oct each year.
Full membership of the North Wales Snowsports Club is not a requirement to participate in these sessions, the standard rate includes the temporary membership, however becoming a full member does entitle you to significant reductions on all regular NWSC sessions, and the general use of the Llandudno slope outside of the clubs session times. Requirements
This session is for those skiers that want progress in or have a go at ski racing.
You will need to be a competent skier capable of skiing from the top of the slope making controlled linked turns.
Parents of any children under the age of 16 are expected to remain at the centre, within sight of the slope, or make suitable arrangements otherwise, in case they are required.
The supervising coach will reserve the right to ask participants to leave the slope should their ability not be up to the required standard, and / or potentially be at imminent risk of harming themselves or others.
