Sunday Skills Sessions: our Sunday Skills sessions are aimed at anyone wanting to develop their skiing or boarding skills, using gates, courses, obstacles, (& features for Freestyle when suitable coaches are available).

This session is suitable for Improvers who are capable of using the lift independently at least to the middle, and can control speed, direction, and stop on command.

So, whether you are a top notch racer, a developing skier/boarder, or budding Freestyler interested in having a go, then you're welcome to book on. Supervision & Coaching is provided.

Please bring your own equipment where possible, and you must wear a helmet (essential) for this session. Gloves are also essential, and waterproofs are preferred - the slope has a sprinkler system even when dry weather.

Please note, attendees may be required to help out with equipment used, either during set up, and/or when packing down.

Minimum ability - you must be able to control speed and direction, turn, stop on command, and use the lift unaided.

Membership

Memberships begin on the 1st Oct each year.

Full membership of the North Wales Snowsports Club is not a requirement to participate in these sessions, the standard rate includes the temporary membership, however becoming a full member does entitle you to significant reductions on all regular NWSC sessions, and the general use of the Llandudno slope outside of the clubs session times. Skiers must be able to control speed and direction from the top of the slope, turn, stop, and use the lift unaided.

Parents of any children under the age of 16 are expected to remain at the centre, within sight of the slope, in case they are required.

The supervising coach/es will reserve the right to ask participants to leave the slope should their ability not be up to the required standard, and / or potentially be at imminent risk of harming themselves or others.

You can bring your own ski or snowboard gear or you can use the hire equipment from the Llandudno, included in the price, should you prefer.

You must bring (your own) gloves, and wet weather gear is advised in case of rain.

Bare in mind that there are also sprinklers on the slope to consider.

Helmets are essential for this session.

You'll be working on lots of new skills and be going through slalom poles and markers.
