    Course Information:

Coaches, instructors and club officials play a key role in keeping those involved in snowsports safe and are often the front line of delivery. They have a shared responsibility with everyone else involved in snowsports to promote the welfare of all children, young people and adults at risk. We should all ensure those who are at risk are safeguarded from abuse and enjoy their experience.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

    1. Understand what safeguarding means
    2. Identify how safeguarding issues can arise and what you can do to minimize the chance of them happening
    3. Understand the types of abuse and neglect in children and adults at risk and the impact this can have
    4. Learn best practice for responding to safeguarding concerns
    5. Understand the current landscape of safeguarding and how Snowsport Cymru Wales can support you
